Romania To Host Asian Handball Championships
"We’ve decided Romania will host these matches, but we have no concrete data yet because we don’t know the exact number of participants, which ranges between 4 and 6 for each competition. The women’s championship will be hosted by Bucharest and the men’s by Oradea, both between January 28 and February 3," Gatu said.
Gatu also said the International Handball Federation will not cover all the organization costs.
"The next step is to negotiate with hotels for accommodation and meals. The International Federation will cover part of the costs, but not all. When we know the exact number of teams to attend, then we can make an estimate budget of expenses,” Gatu explained.
The winner of each tournament qualifies for the Olympic Games in Beijing.
