The Federation, which includes over 45,000 members in the education system, said will organize nationwide protests against the government’s decision.
“FEN believes that as of now, no member of the Romanian government is in the position to speak about progress and reform in Romania. By its decision, the Executive dooms the future generations,” the Federation said in a statement.
The Romanian government decided Tuesday to postpone applying the law raising teachers’ wages by 50% until April 1, 2009, people close to the matter said.
