Second Volcanic Ash Plume Reaches Romania, Air Traffic Undisturbed
The general manager of the country’s National Meteorology Authority said the plume reached Romania Tuesday night but any potential disturbances it might cause won’t last longer than 12 hours.
A volcanic eruption in southern Iceland has disrupted and grounded thousands of flights since Thursday, April 15, and forced European countries to close their air spaces.
Romania reopened its air space Monday, after a complete halt as of Saturday, but several airliners continue to cancel flights on unsafe routes.
