German Fashion Retailer Kik Opens First Store in Bucharest in Bucur Retail Park

Kik entered the Romanian market in 2018 already has 12 stores in 10 other Romanian cities.

Its first store in Bucharest an area of 632 sqm and sells apparel, gifts, accessories, home deco, toys and stationery.

Besides Kik, other tenants in Bucur Retail Park are Penny Market, PEPCO, JYSK and DM Drogerie Markt. Real estate consultancy firms CBRE manages leases of retail space in the development.

Bucur Retail Park is a retail and residential compound that will total 28,000 sqm to be finalized in 2022. Its first stage, which consists of retail spaces only, was completed in December 2018. A second stage will be dedicated to food retail and construction is set to start in 2020 and to be completed in 2021. The third stage, the residential component, is expected to start in 2021 at the latest.

Kik is set to open its second store in Bucharest at the end of the first quarter in the Liberty Center shopping mall.
