„Renault Commercial Roumanie sells the Renault and Nisan brands on the Romanian market, an activity which was carried out by Renault Nissan Romania until June 1, 2011. Moreover, the new company integrated the commercial consultancy operations carried out by Dacia Comercial, which was closed following a decision of Automobile Dacia,” Renault Romania Communication Office representatives told MEDIAFAX.
Renault Nissan Romania was set up in July 2001. According to Finance Ministry data, in 2009, the company’s turnover reached over 560 million lei (about EUR133 million). Dacia Comercial posted turnover of RON25 million in 2009, when it had 241 employees.
The Renault and Nissan dealer network has 45 and 23 partners, respectively, countrywide.
About 1,800 Renault cars were registered on the Romanian market in the first five months of the year, down 12% compared to the same interval in 2010. Nissan registrations in Romania doubled to 418 units in January-May 2011.
