Erste Transfers Romanian BCR To Austrian LTD – Ziarul Financiar

Austrian group Erste has put between it and Romanian lender Banca Comerciala Romana, or BCR, two limited liability companies recently established in Austria, EGB Ceps Beteiligungen and EGB Ceps Holding GmbH, business newspaper Ziarul Financiar reported Thursday.

EGB Ceps Holding GmbH currently owns a 69.3% stake in BCR, which is Romania’s biggest lender.

Thus, Erste transfers its direct exposure to the BCR out of its portfolio.

Contacted by Ziarul Financiar, Erste officials said it was a „formal change.”

„Erste Group’s commitment to Romania/ BCR remains solid and unchanged,” said Ionut Stanimir, spokesman for Erste Group.
