"We are already looking into the case and we will withdraw their license. The Consumer Protection Office has been looking for company officials for three days now, but no one is to be found at the company’s three units in Bucharest," minister Ovidiu Silaghi told MEDIAFAX Sunday.

Democrat liberal MEP Monica Iacob Ridzi asked the minister to lift the company’s license for having breached its contractual obligations to several groups of tourists, to whom it offered trips to France and Germany over the Easter holiday.

The students the tour operator abandoned in Paris left for Romania Sunday on two tour buses, and are expected home Monday evening.
Avangarde Club officials could not be reached for comment.
