Nastase said the main reason for his resignation is a court decision regarding the Vointa sports complex that the tennisman wished to transform into a tennis academy.
Another reason cited by Nastase hinted to the speculations in the media according to which the Federation had stated higher organization costs for the Davis Cup between Romania and France, which took place last week in Sibiu.
The tennis star said that after eight years he “lost” the battle against corruption in the Romanian justice system.
