The Strategic Communication Group announced on Friday a new death of a patient infected with the new coronavirus. This is an 81-year-old man from Bucharest. The death toll in Romania thus reaches 25.

According to GCS, the 81-year-old man from Bucharest was admitted on Thursday to the Emergency Receiving Unit of St. John’s Hospital, and subsequently transferred to the National Institute of Infectious Diseases „Matei Balş”. He died on Friday in the ATI section of the institute.

We have not been provided with data on comorbidities, the GCS representatives added.

This is the 25th death recorded in patients confirmed with the new coronavirus.
