Romanian President Greets Belgian Royal Family

King Albert II of Belgium and his wife Queen Paola attended an official reception at the palace, in the presence of Romanian Foreign Minister Cristian Diaconescu and Culture Minister Toader Paleologu.

King Albert II is scheduled to meet with Prime Minister Emil Boc and the two chairmen of the Parliament later today.

On Wednesday, he will attend the Romania-Belgium Economic Forum, where five memorandums of understanding between the two countries will be signed.

The memorandums pledge cooperation in the fields of environment protection, infrastructure, nuclear research, emergency response and radioactive waste management, and identifying and promoting mutual business opportunities.
