French Citizen, Arrested In Romania For Pedophilia

A French citizen was arrested Thursday, after being caught engaging in sexual relations with two teenagers in a hotel room in the northwestern Romanian city of Dej.

Police also found several obscene recordings of minors.

According to Romanian Police, 49 year old astronomy professor Thierry Hubert Marie F., was found engaging in sexual relations with two pupils, one aged 15 and the other aged 16.

Investigators found that, between March 2008 and February 2009, the French citizen traveled many times to Dej where, in exchange for money or expensive goods, had sex with several minors. He also produced obscene materials, with the intention of putting them in circulation, as officers found several recordings featuring minors.

Thierry Hubert Marie F. was charged with pedophilia and ownership of obscene videos, with intention to distribute, and was incarcerated for a 29-day period by Cluj County Police.

Investigations are ongoing, with the purpose of gathering evidence of the Frenchman’s entire activity.
