Romania’s Rompetrol Cuts Pump Prices By RON0.05/Liter

Romania’s second-largest oil company Rompetrol Group NV cut Wednesday its pump prices by 0.05 lei (EUR1= RON3.6284) per liter, the company said in a statement.

Rompetrol cut its Efix 95 gasoline price to RON4.07 per liter. One liter of Premium Euro 4 gasoline will cost RON4.11, while one liter of unleaded Euro Super 98 will cost RON4.67, Rompetrol said.  
 
The company cut its Super Euro 5 diesel price to RON4.74 per liter and Efix Diesel price to RON4.46 per liter.  
 
Rompetrol hiked its fuel pump prices by RON0.04 per liter two weeks ago.
 
Rompetrol, majority-owned by Kazahkstan’s KazMunaiGas, hiked the fuel prices five times this year.
 
Since the beginning of the year, Romania’s dominant oil company Petrom (SNP.RO), owned by Austria’s OMV, has hiked fuel prices nine times. Fuel prices have grown by 10-12% since the beginning of the year.
