Romanian Schools Lacking Sanitary Authorization Could Be Closed Down

Romanian schools which don’t have sanitary authorization will be closed down if children enrolled in these educational institutions can be transported to other schools without difficulty, Education Minister Daniel Funeriu told a news conference on Sunday.

Funeriu said the number of children enrolled in schools that lack sanitary authorization decreased significantly compared to the previous years.

He highlighted that authorities will work together with mayors in areas where such schools cannot be closed down, in order to find a solution.

Funeriu and other Education Ministry representatives participated Sunday in the national reunion of Romanian school inspectors which took place in Alba Iulia.
