Over 150 Unionists Picket Romanian Health Ministry

Union leader Marius Petcu said an ample rally will be organized in Bucharest on September 22, in protest to the healthcare sector’s wage cuts. He said rallies will also be held throughout the country between September 27 and September 30.

Unionists are protesting the 25% wage cut the Government operated as of July across the entire public sector and demand their wage levels be restored as of October.

Last month, the union said it was to hold an ample rally in September and also planned to the signatures of its 120,000 members to take the state to court.
