Romanian Mine Subsidies Down 14% Pending Budget Approval

"Until the approval of the law on the state budget for the year 2009 and the approval by the Government of the subsidies for products and social protection granted to companies, the national companies in the mining sector which receive subsidies in 2009 are to get the unitary subsidies for product and for social production approved for 2008 reduced by 14%,” the executive said in a statement.

 

Subsidies will be granted monthly and amount to 1/12 of the budgetary provisions approved for 2008 to this purpose in the budget of the main lender, in accordance with the Government decision.
