GCS: 344 new cases confirmed in the last 24 hours. In Romania, there are 4.761 infected persons

"Since the entry into force of the Military Ordinance no. 2 and so far, 1.869 persons who did not comply with the period of self-isolation were placed in institutionalized quarantine. Also, 60 people in quarantine left the places where they were placed, for which the measure of quarantine was arranged for a new period of 14 days. To date (Wednesday - n.red.), on the Romanian territory, 4.761 cases of persons infected with COVID-19 (coronavirus) have been confirmed. Of the positively confirmed people, 528 were declared cured and discharged”, according to GCS.

So far, 209 people diagnosed with COVID-19 infection, admitted to hospitals in Dolj, Bucharest, Iaşi, Suceava, Arad, Bacău, Timiş, Cluj, Neamţ, Hunedoara, Constanţa, Satu Mare, Sibiu, Ialomiţa, Bistriţa-Năsăud, Covasna, Dâmboviţa, Vrancea, Galaţi, Caraş-Severin, Mureş, Giurgiu, Bihor, Argeş, Vaslui, Botoşani, Alba, Sălaj and Mehedinţi, died.

"Since the last information sent by the Strategic Communication Group, there have been another 344 new cases of illness. At ATI, at this moment, 162 patients are admitted”, adds the source.

On the territory of Romania, 25.556 persons are in institutionalized quarantine. Another 89.976 people are in isolation at home and are under medical supervision.

To date, 47.207 tests have been processed at national level.
