Moldovan Students To Get More Seats In Romanian Universities – Pres

Romania wants to increase by 1,000 the number of university seats for the Moldovan students who come to study at Romanian universities, Romanian president Traian Basescu, present in Eforie Sud resort, southeastern Romania, said Friday.

Basescu participated Friday in the opening of the fourth editions of the Summer School “Romanian Communities and European Identity”, in Eforie Sud resort.

Basescu said he discussed with the officials in the Government to increase by 1,000 the number of university seats for the Moldovan students who want to study in Romania.

He added he will soon receive an answer regarding this aspect from the Government and the Education Ministry, adding that these 1,000 seats do not necessarily mean scholarships.
