Three Kilometers Of Railway Stolen In W Romania
In January, police were notified that rails were missing on a segment that hadn’t been used since 1999.
Investigators found the rail on a section of 1.5 kilometers was cut and dismantled by employees of a firm in Copsa Mica, western Romania, who had a services contract with a firm in Brasov, central Romania. The former firm was hired to cut, dismantle and transport the rails.
Employees also presented a contract signed in December 2008 by the firm in Brasov and a firm in Oradea, western Romania, which was supposed to buy the scrap metal resulted from the cut rail.
