Romanian Actor Stefan Iordache Dies At 67

Romanian actor Stefan Iordache, 67, passed away Sunday of heart attack at a medical clinic in Vienna, medical sources said.

Iordache was committed to Bucharest’s Elias Hospital last week and was taken to Vienna Friday.

Born on February 3, 1941, Iordache started his career in 1963 and starred in nearly 30 movies.

Iordache received the Excellence in Cinematography Award in 2006 within the fifth edition of the Transylvania International Film Festival (TIFF).

Iordache also performed at the Nottara and Teatrul Mic theaters, as well as at the Craiova National Theater, and collaborated with famous stage directors Catalina Buzoianu and Silviu Purcarete.
