Romania’s October Net Salary Flat M-M At RON1,340

The gross average salary was at RON1,846 in October, unchanged from the previous month.

Employees in the brokerage sector saw, in October, the biggest average net salaries of RON3,276, while hotel and restaurants employees were at the opposite pole, with RON796.

The net average salary in agriculture was up 1.5% on the month, at RON1,041, while the employees in the energy sector saw a 1.8% salary increase on the month in October, to RON2,527.

Net salaries in industry averaged RON1,390 in October, down 2% from September.

The employees in the tobacco manufacturing products saw a 0.9% salary decrease on the month in October, at RON2,954.

Compared with October 2009, the average net salary in Romania was down 2.5%.
