Geoana, who is also running for a senator seat in Dabuleni, said after casting his ballot that this election is a fresh start for Romanians.
"I voted for a major change in Romania, I voted for Romanians’ chance at a new beginning and I urge all Romanians to think three times before voting for who they think are the most competent people to run this country at a time of crisis,” Geoana said.
“This election will influence Romania’s destiny not just for the following four years, because our response to the world crisis will determine what Romania and our lives will look like in the next 20 years,” he added.
