Romania Confirms Three New Swine Flu Cases; Total Infections At 22

The three new patients are members of a family who flu in from the U.S. on the same plane with a foreign national already infected with the virus, the ministry said.

 

European officials alerted the Romanian authorities that five Romanians came in contact with the foreigner while on plane.

 

The Cantacuzino Institute in Bucharest confirmed the virus in three of the five nationals. 

 

The patients are currently treated at the infectious diseases hospital in Timisoara, western Romania.
