Romanian President Wants New Govt Instated By Dec 24

The head of state asked the representatives of national minorities that made parliament how they see a new government structure that would get the parliament’s go-ahead, to have a new government instated by Dec 24.

 

"We could also consider Dec 29, but the urgency with which we need to adopt a state budget obliges us to consider Dec 24, if not even Dec 21 or 22,” Basescu said.

 

On Thursday, Basescu said he hopes to appoint a candidate for the prime minster office by Dec 15, when the new Parliament meets in session.
