Fierbinteanu added all Autoliv Romania employees have permanent contracts and the company will not turn to layoffs.
"At the moment we have stopped hiring. Alongside the 2,500 employees we have, we were supposed to recruit 300 more people, but we gave up on than plan. Layoffs are the last measure on our minds because we have invested in our people," Fierbinteanu explained.
The company recently announced it expects a 30% decrease in sales on a group level, in the fourth quarter, because of decreases in the car production on a global level.
For the current year, group management estimates sales 5% below those registered last year, after an initial forecast that pointed to a 2% increase.
