Govt Secretary General Resigns Position To Run For Mayor Seat

Romanian Government secretary general Ilie Bolojan announced he resigns his position after on Monday he said he would run for the Oradea mayor seat, as the candidate of the National Liberal Party.

Bolojan said he would continue to act as Government’s secretary general for another 30 days until a replacement is found.

The Prime Minister expressed his appreciation for Bolojan’s involvement in improving the public service sector as well as in restructuring the Autonomous Regie- The Administration of State Patrimony and Protocol.

Bolojan was appointed as government’s secretary general in April 2007.
