Romania’s Rompetrol To Cut Gas, Diesel Oil Pump Prices By RON0.12, RON0.06/Liter

Romania’s second-largest oil company Rompetrol, owned by Kazakhstan's KazMunaiGaz, will cut Tuesday its gasoline prices by 0.12 lei (EUR1=RON3.8545) per liter and diesel oil prices by RON0.06, the company said in a statement.

As of Tuesday, one liter of Premium E 4 gasoline will cost RON2.99, while the unleaded Efix 95 and Euro Super 98 gasoline will cost RON3.04 per liter and RON3.67 per liter, respectively.

The company will also cut its Efix Diesel price to RON3.55 per liter and the Super Euro 5 price to RON3.84 per liter.

The prices of fuel sold in the Rompetrol Downstream gas stations may vary by +/- 5%, compared with the reference prices, Rompetrol said.

Similar price cuts were announced Monday by Romania’s largest oil company Petrom SA (SNP.RO). The company cut gasoline prices by RON0.12 per liter and diesel oil prices by RON0.06 as of GMT10:00.
