Hagi, almost in tears after receiving the highest distinction of the Romanian state

„I am honored, I am happy, I am fulfilled, because I turned 60, I worked for 50 years to come to this day, this moment, which is special for me,” said Hagi, almost in tears, on Wednesday, after being decorated with the Star of Romania in the rank of Knight.

He thanked Ilie Bolojan, but also Romania „for this wonderful day”.

Later, Gheorghe Hagi gave the interim president a ball, but also a jersey with number 10, signed by him.

Hagi also stated that there is a great need for teachers in Romania, in the context of many talented children: „We just have to work hard, to develop them properly.”
