Romanian Leu Continues Downward Trend Vs Euro

The leu opened at RON3.9200-3.9250 against the euro, slightly higher than Friday’s closing value, and touched and early high of RON3.95 to the euro.

At around GMT 0730, the leu was trading at RON3.9420-3.9480 against the euro.

Monday morning, on the money market, overnight rates were at 14-16%.

The leu closed at RON3.9000 /RON3.9050 against the euro Friday, significantly lower from RON3.7430/37460 to the euro on Thursday closing.
