Romanian PM Says Debt Funds Blocked By Secondary Ordinators
Speaking in a press conference, Boc said the Finance Ministry ordered payments for 80%-100% of the debts to companies, worth some EUR1 billion, but the funds are blocked “in the pens” of secondary and third credit ordinators.
Boc restated the guilty people will be dismissed.
He also asked prefects to present by April 3 a chart with the public bids for contracts that use pre-accession funds, via the SAPARD, ISPA and Phare programs. Boc said many of the proceedings involving these contracts face delays.
