Geoana added there are no other alternatives and compromise needs to be removed from the decision making process.
"We will have to build this Government starting tonight. I invite the other parties and Traian Basescu to an open dialogue with the future of Romania on the table, a future that starts today. There are no other alternatives, half-measures need to cease," Geoana said.
He also said that through the vote cast Sunday, "Romania clearly said the social democrats should lead the new Government."
Geoana said the social democrats obtained an “undisputed” victory in the elections, adding the party will hold over 40% of mandates in the future Parliament.
