Hydrologists Issue Code Orange Flood Alert For Olt River, S Romania

Romanian hydrologists have issued a code orange flood warning for the Olt river, southern Romania, and one of its tributaries, Arpasul Mare, valid until Sunday at 6 p.m., due to precipitation expected in the upcoming 24 hours.

Hydrologists also maintain a yellow code flood advisory for several rivers in central Romania and the eastern half of the country.

The rivers under flood alert are Mures, Olt, Bistrita, Trotus, Putna, Ramnicu Sarat and Buzau and their tributaries.
