Refunds For Romanian Scheme Scrappage Vouchers Disbursed Until December 23

Authorized collectors will issue vouchers in exchange for old automobiles until November 21. The vouchers may be used to buy a new car until December 12. Refund requests may be filed by validated producers until December 15 at the latest and refunds will be disbursed until December 23. After this date, the vouchers will no longer be valid, said the minister.

The scrappage program will resume next year, in February, Borbely added. Around 120,000 cars will have been scrapped by the end of the year, compared with 190,000 in 2010.
