Romanian Govt To Subsidize Purchase Of Electric, Hybrid Cars

Individuals or companies participating in the cash-for-clunkers program will receive four vouchers for an electric car, or two vouchers for a hybrid car, said the minister.

The Government will also subsidize the infrastructure needed by electric/hybrid cars.

Last year, MEDIAFAX presented a Government strategy to introduce a financial incentive package and encourage purchases of electric cars through an „ecologic bonus” for consumers, and through tax deductions or state aid for producers.
