Romania’s RomTelecom May Buy Boom TV For EUR50M – Sources
According to the sources, the agreement should be approved by Romtelecom and Deutsche Telekom (which owns the Romanian operator, through OTE).
Boom TV currently has 200,000 subscribers.
Romtelecom has its own digital satellite television platform, Dolce, with around 600,000 subscribers.
If the transaction is concluded, Romtelecom will have 800,000 subscribers.
Romtelecom officials denied the information.
In 2007, DTH Television Group reported losses worth 97.36 million lei (EUR1=RON4.2954) and a turnover of RON16.26 million.
DTH Television Group SA shareholders are Israeli Elran Investments (25.25%), Globalicom – Trade, Israel (10.03%), Cyprus-based Blackdazaar Limited (42.47%),
Livemore Investments Group (British Virgin Islands, 18.22%), Mivtach Shamir Holdings Israel (2.99%), and individuals Constantin Druica (0.18%), Reuven Behar (0.18%), Rosenfarb Eyal Yosef (0.18%), Noam Jonathan (0.18%), Jacoby Daniel (0.14%), Meir Maor (0.07%) and Doron Revivi (0.04%).
