IMF Mission To Return To Romania When Legitimate Govt Is Installed - President

Basescu said the mission of the IMF, World Bank and the European Commission informed him it will return to Bucharest when the country has a Government with full powers, adding the three institutions cannot continue talks with the Romanian part unless this condition is met.

Romania's central bank governor Mugur Isarescu on Friday said "it seems obvious" the International Monetary Fund will delay its third loan disbursement to Romania.

Romania has met almost all targets of its EUR13 billion standby arrangement with the International Monetary Fund, with maybe one exception, IMF mission's head Jeffrey Franks said Wednesday, people familiar with the matter told MEDIAFAX. The sources said Franks was referring to Romania's general government domestic arrears.

An IMF mission is in Bucharest for the second review of Romania's EUR20 billion IMF-led bailout loan.
