Romanian Ministries To Absorb Little EU Funding This Year

Romanian democrat liberal vice-president Gheorghe Flutur said Tuesday night, after the governing alliance’s central political office meeting, that the government is "pretty cautious" with the outlook of European fund absorption.

"The outlook of European fund absorption was discussed. Here we are pretty cautious because the ministry with the highest chances to unfold projects this year and in the beginning of next year is the Ministry of Environment, which is further down the road with projects submitted," Flutur said.
 
He added that in the other ministries, the chances for EU fund absorption are low, but these institutions still have a chance to bring in funds, most likely towards the end of this year.
