Securities Commission OKs 14 Foreign Cos To Operate On Romanian Capital Mkt

Out of the 14 investment companies, eight are registered in the U.K., three are from Cyprus, two from the Netherlands and one from Denmark, the regulator mentioned.

 

British investors topped a January classification of foreign investments on the Romanian capital market, with buys worth over 44.2 million lei (EUR1-RON3.7100) and sales totaling RON103.6 million.

 

Cypriot investment funds brought in over RON24.65 on the Romanian capital market in January, counting for 9% of the overall operations conducted by foreigners in the mentioned interval.

 

Dutch investors rank ninth in the January classifications, with overall operations totaling RON14.7 million.
