Interior Minister Cristian David also requested an investigation regarding the modality in which law enforcement officers intervened to settle the situation.
People in Stefanesti commune on Sunday caused a series of incidents at the two polling places in the locality, because many of them were not able to cast ballots by the time the polls closed.
Law enforcement officers had to intervene to calm down the angry voters.
David said there are suspicions that voters in the locality might have been influenced during the voting process.
