They said these requests came within one week of the project's announcement.
Health Minister Attila Cseke said last week that the ministry plans to build six regional emergency hospitals, through public-private partnerships. They will be located in Cluj-Napoca, Craiova, Iasi, Targu Mures, Timisoara and Bucharest.
The hospitals will have 700-900 beds and will cost EUR200-300 million each, said Cseke.
Firms interested in partnering with the state must have a turnover of at least EUR5 million and a profit of EUR500,000 per year.
