Italian Authorities Put 26 Romanians Under Arrest In Last 48 Hours

Italian authorities arrested 26 Romanian citizens in the last 48 hours, under charges of theft, forgery and resisting arrest, according to Italian news agency APcom.

Six Romanian citizens suspected of stealing from cars, buses and a bar were arrested in Rome.

Two other Romanian immigrants were apprehended in Tivoli, under suspicions of motorcycle theft. Other four Romanians were detained in Ostia for credit card forgery.

A group of six Romanians operating a stolen-cars network was annihilated in the Palestrina region.

Among the people who were arrested, there is a 26 year-old man on whose name an international warrant was released in 2005 for sexual assault.
