Italian Man Get 5-Year Sentence For Raping A Romanian Woman In Rome

A court in Rome issued a five-year prison sentence against an Italian citizen found guilty of raping a 38-yea old Romanian woman, TGcom.it informed.

Italian Alessio Amadio, aged 40, was found guilty of raping a 38-year old Romanian woman at knifepoint. The woman was raped on May 15, 2008, at a call-center in Rome where she worked as a maid. The author of the rape is the call-center owner’s husband.

"Not only was I raped at 6 in the morning while I was cleaning, but I also lost my job," Magdalena, the rape victim, said. "City hall promised help, but they were not involved in the trial. All I want is to get my job back," the victim added.

Judge Gennaro Romano decided Magdalena will receive EUR15,000 in damages.
