A Romanian national was arrested in a suburb in Rome, Italy, when he was caught trying to steal the GPS device of an ambulance which had been called for an emergency, Italian paper Il Messaggero reported in its online edition Saturday.

Italian Police Arrest Romanian Trying To Steal GPS Off Ambulance - Paper

A police patrol noticed a suspicious looking individual near an ambulance in Tor San Lorenzo, south of Rome.
 
Police caught a 27 year-old Romanian trying to steal the GPS device off the ambulance. Although he tried to run, the Romanian was arrested and charged with attempted theft.
 
The Romanian had another GPS device on him, which he had stolen before from a nearby vehicle.
