Italy’s „Overland For Smile” Caravan Returns To Romania 3rd Yr In A Row
This year, the dentists with the “Overland for Smile” caravan will treat children in Romanian cities Suceava, Bacau, Galati, Tulcea, Constanta and Bucharest, organizers said.
Italian Ambassador to Bucharest, Daniele Mancini, emphasized the significance of the project, which he characterized as an act of “human solidarity.”
Mancini said he hopes the collaboration between Italian dentists and Romanian authorities will continue.
The Italian dentists visited 137 social assistance centers and treated 3,494 children in Romania during the past two editions of the “Overland for Smile” caravan.
The organizers expect the doctors will be able to treat some 1,800 institutionalized children at this year’s edition.
