„We are trying to continue paying social rights, pensions and wages. If we fail to consider the current economic context, we will jeopardize the granting of these rights. The way the budget is structured poses no problems in paying pensions, wages and social indemnities neither in 2009, nor in 2010,” Boc said.

Boc said that the government can pay wages and pensions in 2009 and 2010, but social rights might be at risk if unionists don’t show understanding in talks with the government on their requests.

„If we can’t find balance, understanding and dialogue, the payment of the current social rights is at risk,” Boc said.
