Switzerland Offers Financial Aid Of EUR7M For Romania Healthcare System

Romanian Health Minister Cseke Attila met Thursday with Swiss Ambassador to Bucharest Livio Hurzeler and talked about carrying on the financial assistance provided by the Swiss Government for Romania’s healthcare system. The issue is of utmost importance for cooperation and support within the Swiss Solidarity Project for EU newcomers.

The frame agreement between the Romanian and Swiss Governments will most likely be concluded in the first half of 2010.

Hurzeler said the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation has earmarked nearly EUR7 million for projects targeting to develop emergency healthcare services.
