Romania 2009 New Car Registrations Fall 60% YY To 116,012 Units

Used car registrations stood at 275,012 units, down 11% from a record level of 300,000 units reported in 2008, the ministry’s license and car registration division said.

In December last year, new car registrations rose 33.25% on the month to 11,313 units, while used car registrations were up 26% month-on-month to 18,839 units.

Dacia, made locally by French Renault’s unit Dacia Automobile, was the best-traded brand on the local new cars segment in December with 2,756 units, down 2.5% on the month.
