The Japanese official said Friday during a press conference held at Babes Bolyai university in Cluj that he would stress out the opportunities the county has to offer during his meeting with the representatives of Japan’s Union of Machine-Tool Producers, which will arrive next week in Romania.
Tsushima said the Japanese delegation that is to arrive next week in Romania is made of the representatives of 17 important companies from Japan, amongst which Hitachi and Toshiba.
The official said that Transylvania is the most developed region in Romania, with Cluj as its capital. He added that Nokia and Mercedes’s interest in the area points out its economic importance.
The ambassador on Friday also visited the Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Cluj to get accustomed with the industrial realities of the area so that he may draw a “realistic” picture to the Japanese officials.
