ANRE: Romania To Raise Household Gas Prices By 2% As Of April 1

Romania’s energy watchdog ANRE approved Thursday the regulated prices for the 38 natural gas suppliers operating on the local market, while natural gas prices for household consumers will increase by 2% as of April 1.

Romania’s natural gas market will be fully liberalized as of April 1.

According to ANRE, household consumers will have the option to stay on the regulated natural gas market or switch to the deregulated market.

ANRE will continue to establish regulated prices for household consumers and monitor the evolution of the deregulated market even after the liberalization of the local natural gas market, the institution said.
