Romanian Leasing Debtors May Sell Contracts On Specialized Website

At first, www.cesiune.ro will handle automobile ceding/takeover, spreading out to work equipment and tools, boats, ATVs or yachts later, according to a press release by site owner Media Suport Services. The firm has signed partnerships with TBI Leasing, OTP Leasing, Ager Leasing and Tiriac Leasing, which are now able to put cars returned by their clients up for sale on the website.

The site was launched to assist people who bought a car or machine through leasing and have to return it to the leasing company, unable to pay the monthly installment, the press release said.

When taking over a leasing country, the registration fees and deposit have already been paid for; the buyer must only pay the novation fee, which differs from company to company, but is usually around 2% of the outstanding debt, plus the remaining installments.

Users may post ads and cession messages regarding goods bought via leasing.

At the moment, around 90 cars are up for sale, with prices between EUR3,700 to EUR440,000.
