Romania’s November Net Wage Up 2.8% M-M At RON1,377

The gross average salary was at RON1,900 in November, up 2.9% from the previous month, statistics showed.

Employees in the brokerage sector saw the biggest average net salaries in November, of RON3,380, while hotel and restaurant employees were at the opposite pole, with RON804.

The net average salary in agriculture was up 4.5% on the month, at RON1,088, while employees in the energy sector saw a 2.1% salary increase on the month in November, to RON2,579.

Net salaries in industry averaged RON1,425 in November, up 2.2% from October.

Compared with November 2009, the average net salary in Romania was up 0.8%. In real terms, however, the net wage was down 6.4% on the year in November.
